Full-Time Dermatology Locum Opportunity in California

Job description

We're seeking a Board-Certified Dermatologist for an exciting full-time locum opportunity in California. This is an academic-affiliated position with no nights, weekends, or holiday coverage required.

Top Highlights:
• Monday–Friday schedule with Fridays remote (telehealth e-consults only)
• No nights, weekends, or holiday coverage – excellent work-life balance
• General & complex medical dermatology with strong support staff and EPIC EMR

Shift Details:
• Monday–Thursday: On-site clinic, 8 half-day sessions (8a–12p, 1p–5p)
• Friday: Half-day telehealth coverage (store-and-forward e-consults)
• Call: Daytime only, averages 1 consult/day (handled at lunch or after clinic)

Work Details:
• Patients: 20–25 per day, adult population
• Setting: Outpatient clinic with occasional inpatient consults
• Support: Dedicated MA, scheduler, 1 LVN per site, assigned rooms
• Procedures: Basic punch, shave, ED&C’s (no Mohs)
• EMR: EPIC
• Plus: Teaching facility experience and Spanish language skills are a bonus

Requirements:
• Board Certified in Dermatology
• Active CA Medical License (not open to licensing)
• DEA & BLS required
• Minimum 1+ year of experience

Credentialing: ~90 days
