Neurologist Needed for 3 month contract in Oakland, CA

Job description

Contract Length: up to 13 weeks. Facility expects to need coverage for 8 weeks, but may go up to 13 weeks.

Shift Details: 5-6 half day clinics, facility prefers 5 clinic half days M-F 8-12. Up to an hour of admin time per clinic if needed. Facility has some flexibility on schedule.

Work Details:
• Support staff: MAs, goal for 1 LVN, clinical pharmacist, neuro-immunologist
• Amount of coverage needed per month:
• Patients per day: 6, 2 new, 4 follow ups
• Patient population/age: adults, varied backgrounds, ethnicities, and languages. Many low income patients.
• Department description: bread and butter gen neurology, epilepsy, dementia, parkinsons. Facility is a county safety net hospital.

• EMR: EPIC

• Skills required:
o General neurology
o Spanish speaking skill strongly preferred

• License required: yes, CA
• DEA: yes, CA
• Certifications required: BLS
