Neurosurgeon needed in VA!

Job description

• Coverage needed per month: 24hr call, 7am Friday – through Monday 7am
• Frequency of any Call needed: no more than one week per month
• Schedule Details: 7a-7a
-Work Details:
• Support staff: potential APP support, not guaranteed
• Department Description: bread and butter neurosurgery, must be able to perform craniotomies and spine surgeries, emergent cases only – no elective cases. No clinic.
• Patient Volume: TBD, emergent cases only
• Patient Age Group: adults
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: craniotomies and spine surgery are a MUST
-Requirements:
• Are Board Certifications Req’d?: BC in neurosurgery required, BE is acceptable with fellowship ~ 5 years
• Which State License(s) Req’d?: VA license required
• Certifications Req’d?: BLS/ACLS required
• Specific Skills Req’d?: craniotomies and spine surgery are a MUST
• DEA Req’d?: VA required
• Minimum Experience Req’d: at least 2 years experience
-Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 60 days with VA license and DEA, otherwise 90 days
-Are you willing To License?: Yes
